Booking Deposits
Payment of the booking deposit confirms your understanding and acceptance of these terms and conditions.
All booking deposits or total amounts paid are non-refundable.
Deposits secure the staff hire services required for your function or event.
Payment Methods
Deposits can be paid via direct deposit or credit card. A 2% surcharge applies to credit card payments.
Final payment must be made no later than 14 days before the event date.
Remittance
When paying via bank deposit, proof of payment must be sent to hello@originfive.com.au to confirm your booking.
Staffing Fulfillment
We operate as an on-demand staffing service. Staff availability may be confirmed 24–72 hours before the event.
If staff cannot be secured, customers will be notified no less than 12 hours before the event start time.
Rescheduling and Cancellations by Customers
Cancellations
Booking deposits are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
Bookings canceled within 14 days of the event will incur a 50% charge of the total booking cost.
Same-day cancellations will result in 100% of the booking amount being retained.
Rescheduling
Rescheduling is possible with at least 31 days’ notice. A $150 rescheduling fee applies, which is non-refundable and not applicable as credit.
Bookings must be rescheduled within 365 days of the original booking date.
Credits
At the company’s discretion, cancellations may result in a credit for future services rather than a refund.
Credits will not apply to booking deposits.
Performance and Reliability
Origin Five is not liable for staff cancellations, late arrivals, or no-shows due to unforeseen circumstances.
Refunds will not be provided for dissatisfaction with staff performance or skill level, as all staff are hired based on their stated experience and credibility.
We will investigate performance issues with staff directly and take appropriate action based on customer feedback.
Extreme Circumstances
Origin Five will consider refunds or credits in extreme cases (e.g., theft, fire, or assault).
Weather or Government Restrictions
The same cancellation policy applies.
Customers may only receive a 50% refund by submitting a formal cancellation via email one business day before the event.
Refunds and Late Arrivals
Refund Policy
Refunds are not provided for booking deposits or full payments unless staff fail to show up or are late by over 30 minutes.
Refunds for late arrivals are issued in 30-minute increments only.
Refund Requests
Customers must request refunds within three business days after the event.
Early Completion
No refunds are provided if customers request staff to leave before the scheduled end time.
Staff Skillset and Performance
Performance Variability
Staff are assigned based on availability and stated skillsets. Origin Five is not liable for dissatisfaction with staff performance.
Feedback must be reported within the first hour of the event.
Skillset Ratings
Staff with poor performance feedback twice within six months will not be rehired.
Service Time Extensions
We ask customers for at least two weeks’ notice for staff service extension requests.
If a same-day request for an extension occurs, a 30% surcharge on top of the staff’s hourly rate is required.
Whether Origin Five is contacted directly or not, a 30% increase per hour, per staff member for overtime is required.
Service time extension payments must be made within 48 hours post-shift.
Same-Day Request Acceptance
Origin Five may accept same-day staff booking requests, subject to staff availability.
A confirmation will be provided to confirm the successful allocation of staff.
Additional Charges
For all same-day bookings, an additional fee applies on top of the standard hourly staff rate.
The additional fee ranges from $10 to $35 per hour, depending on urgency, event type, and location.
Public Holidays
Public Holiday rates incur a minimum 30% increase on the total cost of the booking.
Parking and Additional Fees
Parking fines incurred by staff during an event are chargeable to the customer.
Photography and Media Use
Consent
By booking with Origin Five, you consent to photography and videography for promotional purposes.
Customers can opt out by notifying us before or during the event.
Ownership
All images taken by Origin Five remain the company’s property.
Disputes
Media-related disputes must be submitted in writing to hello@originfive.com.au.
Other Policies
Insurance
Origin Five does not provide public liability insurance for customers or events.
Gender Requests
We do not accept staff gender preferences to avoid discrimination.
